Where Did Pancho Go?

Hello, People. You might have noticed that I’ve been rather silent of late. I’ve been following and commenting on the favorite blogs that appear regularly in my feed, but I haven’t been tending to my own lately. There are reasons for that.

Do any of you watch my favorite documentary?

Some people think it’s a comedy show, but I know better. I know a version of every character depicted, have worked in a version of every environment portrayed, and lately have gone on one helluva Pied Piper-style ride as the beloved early-stage startup where I worked (until April Fools Day — surprise!) abruptly went out of business. So, I’m going with “documentary.” Actually, maybe “therapy” is a better word, because the belly laughs I get from this marvelously witty show every week have provided much-needed humor during a rather turbulent period in my life. Thank you, HBO. You nailed it.

I’m happy to report that I started a new job, and have been wholly consumed with ramping up and getting settled there. I’m excited about the work, about my colleagues old and new, and about the opportunity to learn new things and solve new problems. All’s well that ends well, but there has not been a lot of time left over for anything else. If you watch Silicon Valley, then you will have a pretty accurate picture of what life’s been like for the past month.

Now, I’m ready to end the unintentional blogging hiatus and get going again. I miss my ancestors, and I miss you guys! Stay tuned.

Glad to hear you are back—I’ve missed your blog! And congratulations on the new job. I’ve never seen that show, but if I had HBO I’d check it out.

Maybe in a year or two when the series comes to Europe I’ll know what you’re talking about. 😉 Glad it all worked out and wish you well in your new job.

I think my earlier reply got eaten. Good luck to you, Nydia! You’ll get back to it when the time is right. Lifeus Interruptus, you know?
